The Davis Food Co-op is like no other
grocery store on the planet.

Started in a living room in 1972, the Davis Food Co-op has grown into a full-service grocery store owned and operated by nearly 10,000 local households.

We're open 364 days a year.

The Davis Food Cooperative exists so that our current and future member-owners and other people in the community have:

The Co-op features natural, organic and locally produced foods but we offer a full spectrum of products to serve our entire community. The products we offer are as unique and diverse as our thousands of local owners.

Save a tree — bring a bag
We've made a commitment to reduce our impact on the environment. Our goal is to reduce our consumption of paper bags by Earth Day 2012. To make this happen, starting April 22, 2011, the Co-op will begin charging 5¢ for each large handled paper bag used at check out. We'll continue to give you a 5¢ rebate for each resuable bag you bring in and use to pack your groceries. (For non-members, the bag charge will be included in the non-member surcharge of 5%.)

All monies collected for paper bags will be donated to Tree Davis. Join us in leading the effort to cut down on single use bags (intead of trees!).
