A look back on renovation progress
Update - February 7, 2008
Construction
Still on Holiday
• Phase 1A–the Co-op Deli–is next due for renovation. We are waiting for final
loan approval before
beginning construction on the deli.
• Co-op staff have reviewed the new deli fixture
options and are now in the
ordering process.
• The floors remain bare for the moment because they require a sealant that
will take a few days to cure.
• Please use the comment cards - available in our renovation information
station
in front of the store - to let us know what you think of the changes.

new shelves.
• The new produce sign system has been delivered

before stocking the olive and antipasto bar.
• Many products have moved. Grab a laminated map at the store entrance to help find your way
to new or moved products around the store.
• The floors will remain bare until after the busy
holiday season because they
require a sealant

New coolers, a bit of dust and bare floors
• Take a look at those big new coolers by the south entrance! We’re hard at work to get them stocked.
• Pardon the dust! Some dustiness around the store is due to wheat flour used by the crew to aid in ripping up the tile–
who knew that flour was so useful?
• Naked Floor–it’s scandalous! The floors will remain bare until after the busy holiday season because they require a sealant that will take a few days to cure.
• Pardon the clutter! Many items and shelves were moved in order to rip up the floor.
Please ask a staff member if you need help finding anything.
• The lights in the store are temporary. New lights are scheduled for installation in early November.
• Next week you will see new shelving and a reset of the Health & Beauty and General Merchandise areas.

The new produce cases have been installed and continue to be restocked. We are still waiting on delivery of some display items so the current setup is subject to change.
The Co-op produce department has been putting in stellar extra work to keep up with the new installations.
Take a look at the beautiful new displays they have created!
New cheese cases will be installed tonight. Some products will be moving to new locations and you will see many new products as well. Please ask for assistance to find the product you are looking for.
Look for our “Construction Information Station” in the store with plans, pictures and progress - coming soon!
September 26, 2007
We started with pulling apart the Food Demonstration Kitchen to construct a
cheese cutting area. We’re planning to
move from cheese to produce and then
to the general merchandise shelves.
We’re also making changes in the back
areas, such as an expansion of the ceiling
in our grocery warehouse.
We expect Phase I to be finished before Thanksgiving.
Phase IA will begin in January. That phase will realign the Deli and add new equipment.
